Convertible
This beautiful black 1966 Lincoln Continental Convertible has received a full custom interior based on what Bob Snively believes could have been built in 1966 using modern materials. It creates an inviting appearence and is a comfortable environment maintaining use of the original seat structures.
The overhead view shows many of the custom details that contribute to the car's new fresh appearance. Details include stainless steel cup holders in the fold-down armrests, carbon fiber look material details in the seat backrests and door panels, Continental emblems in the 1966 horizontal design in each seat backrest, and the padded and wrapped factory steering wheel.
With doors opened, you can see the spacious interior and the beautifully detailed sill plates. The aluminum plates are wrapped in the carbon fiber look material and the molded rubber portions of the sills are painted with the detail Lincoln emblem. Also, with the center armrests in the up position, you can appreciate the custom contours of the bolsters of the backrests.
The cracked and broken original steering wheel was lightly padded and wrapped in the carbon fiber look material. The same material was used on the aluminum portion of the sill plates. The molded rubber portions of the sills were detailed with painted Continental emblems.
